What better way is there to stay cozy on March 17th than wearing our St. Patrick's Day Men Irish Wool Knit Hat with Shamrocks? This handsome and practical knit cap features a border of knit shamrocks, Ireland's unofficial symbol. According to myth, Ireland's patron saint, Saint Patrick, used the shamrock to describe the Holy Trinity to convert Irish people to Christianity.
The hat also pays subtler tribute to another Irish icon: the fisherman sweater. Fishermen on Ireland's Aran Islands used to wear the intricately knit garments to keep warm and dry while out at sea. The cable knit on our beanie honors those sweaters, and the cabled stitch is said to symbolize the ropes of the fishermen's nets.
In a wide array of colors (navy, green, creamy white, and charcoal), this knit hat will flatter any wearer. (Please note that navy, white, and charcoal have green shamrocks, while the green has white shamrocks.) Made of 100% Merino wool for softness and durability. Crafted by Celtic textile producer SAOL as part of their St. Patrick Collection.
